Coach Bruno Resende is a former college & professional Soccer athlete. He is originally from Brazil where he grew up playing for one of their biggest pro soccer clubs – Cruzeiro EC and his experience includes coaching in the college, high school & club level in Montgomery for the past 19 years. Bruno with his wife Brooke (Trinity HS graduate, former AU football Tigerette and banking IT Project Manager), are the founders of Team 1136 Management LLC DBA FC Montgomery established in 2011. As the director of the club, Bruno manages a coaching staff of 16 members and around 300 players within all teams & camps ages 4 to 18. FCM teams travel and host teams from all over the Southeast including AL, GA, FL, TN and MS. Additionally, Bruno runs our indoor Futsal soccer program at the Old Sams building Capital City Sportsplex off the Eastern Blvd along with a partnership soccer program at Eastwood Christian School.
Living in Montgomery since 2001, Resende developed a love for the River Region and the South. He also lived in Springfield, MA and Atlanta, GA during his pro soccer career. He has conducted many Brazilian Soccer camps in Southern California and Colorado as well. Another big part of Bruno’s activities is traveling to Brazil multiple times during each year on Family, Soccer/Business and Mission trips. Bruno’s coaching & service within the community has been featured in our local media at Journey Magazine, Montgomery Parents, RSVP, WTVY – Channel 4, Max Round Table – The Ticket ESPN Radio and WCOV Fox-20 The Score.
Bruno has a bachelor’s degree in Sports Leadership from AUM where he played soccer as a student athlete upon his arrival in the United States. He also has a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and a master’s in Physical Education from Faulkner University along with multiple coaching licenses for Soccer & Futsal. He also has certifications in Strength & Conditioning, Sports Psychology, Refereeing and CPR. He is a certified K-12 teacher with multiple coaching certificates & licenses from UFMG, ENAF & United States Soccer Federation.
Bruno is fluent in English, Portuguese & Spanish and has worked with many international & domestic athletes on recruiting, camps, player development and exchange programs. Many players who have trained under coach Bruno and FCM coaching staff have received college scholarships, MLS youth contracts, international signing and USA youth national team invites. Bruno has a passion to help athletes reach their next level of performance physically, technically & tactically through the most advanced youth development methodology worldwide: Brazilian Futsal and the unique Soccer style from Brazil & USA. The holistic player development on and off-the-field is also within Bruno’s coaching style.
Coach Bruno’s wife Brooke is also the FCM’s club Registrar and the Resende’s kids are Susana Joy
(Zany) and Michael Bosco (Mikee)!

Coach Travis started playing soccer at the age of 6. He later played club soccer and was selected to be a part of the Alabama Olympic Development Program (ODP). His time in the ODP included a trip to Brazil where “he defeated a younger Bruno one on one (joke).” As much as he enjoyed playing soccer growing up, his passion for the sport has grown to a new level with the involvement of his two oldest children. Travis coaches our U13 Boys (with coach Gui & Bruno) & U17 Girls (with Tim & Hayden) while also helping Bruno & Fahel with Futsal & Outdoor Events and Academy Development.
Jordan is US Soccer (ASA / USYS) and CPR certified. He has spent the last 7 years coaching various soccer teams in the area (ages 4 to 14). Other than spending time with his children, what motivates him the most as a coach is to help young people develop as players and, more importantly, as future young adults.
Coach Travis was born and raised in Montgomery. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Auburn University Montgomery and has served in the banking industry for over 23 years. He and his wife, Christle, have been married for 19 years. Chloe (12), Cole (9) and Truett (3) all enjoy playing and watching soccer. They love spending time together outdoors as a family and serving Christ and others in the community.

Coach Bob Poling graduated from the University of San Diego in 1991 as an outstanding student athlete. As a youth and college player, Bob was a goalkeeper and played with the Nevada State Select U-16 and U-19 teams and with the University of San Diego. His coaching experience has been at the youth and collegiate level having coached in California, Nevada, Maryland and Virginia. Recently in 2018 he was the Auburn Montgomery men’s soccer goalkeeper coach. From 2019-2020 he was the goalkeeper coach for the Faulkner University women’s soccer program. Bob coaches our U10 Red Boys and U15 Boys together with his assistant DOC duties: Operations, Coaches Education and Goalkeeping. Poling has been part of our staff for 5 years coaching multiple FCM teams. He is a member of United Soccer Coaches and is currently also on the United Soccer Coaches National Ethics Committee. Poling holds certificates and diplomas from the US Soccer Federation and United Soccer Coaches.
Bob is a retired US Navy Officer and settled in Montgomery following his retirement in 2015. During his time in the Navy, Coach Bob had the opportunity to watch and play soccer all over the world. Being able to establish a bond with men and women from other nations through soccer was one of the many great experiences of being in the Navy. He is motivated to share his experience with children and young adults and is excited about the prospects of developing first class soccer players and young adults of strong character.
Coach Bob is originally from Las Vegas, NV. He lives in Montgomery with his wife April, an Alabama native, and his two children. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the University of San Diego, a Master of Arts in Naval History from the American Military University and a Master of Arts in Strategic Studies from the Air War College.

Coach Fahel is also from the soccer land Brazil! He has in his life the priority of serving God through soccer. Married and with 3 children, he considers his family the greatest asset that God has given him.
A former professional soccer player, he has spent his entire life in football. He started playing football at age 5, then at 12 he joined the first football club América Futebol Clube, then went through other giant football clubs in Brazil & Portugal in Europe: Cruzeiro Esporte Clube, Ipatinga Futebol Clube, CS Marítimo (Portugal), FC Paços Ferreira (Portugal), Atlético Paranaense, Esporte Clube Goiás, Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas, Bahia Futebol Clube, Paysandu Sport Clube and ending his professional career at the age of 37, starting his career as a professional coach at Esporte Clube Juventude in Brazil. Fahel moved to the USA in 2021 with their US green card to work with Nona Soccer Academy in Florida and he is currently also serving as assistant coach for the US Virgin Islands professional national team.
Fahel has the Brazilian CBF A license and is working towards his USSF B license in the US. Coach Fahel is set to coach our U19, U17 and U14/15 boys teams as well as be our club technical director for all our age groups boys & girls. Fahel will also be our Futsal program coordinator working on our Futsal Camps and growing our 3v3 / 5v5 training & competition.

David is a native to Montgomery, and currently lives by the beautiful Lake Martin. He grew up playing multiple sports including football, baseball, soccer, wrestling and track. He was a 3-sport all state athlete in High School and went on to play football at Cumberland College in Williamsburg, KY. Forbus is US Soccer (ASA / USYS) and CPR certified.
He has been married to his wife Debbie for 23 years and their daughters Molly (10) and Mary Grayson (6) play for FCM. Faith and Family are his foundation. He believes in serving his community and has recently been named Volunteer of the Year for a local non-profit organization.

Coach Luis Felipe, originally from Brazil, brings a wealth of soccer experience to his coaching career. He began his journey playing for Frigoarnaldo FC in his city before making the move to the US in 2019. In the States, Luis played over two years at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas, followed by two more years at Wayland Baptist University. He then transferred to Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM), where he spent a year played for them. During his time at Coffeyville Community College, Luis achieved a significant milestone by clinching the KJCCC East title, showcasing his talent and leadership on the field.
Education has always been a priority for Luis. He graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a degree in Business Administration and is currently pursuing a master’s in sports management at AUM.

Coach Oliver has played soccer since he was a child and coached ages 4-18 over the past 17 years. He has been the head JV and assistant Varsity soccer coach at Trinity Presbyterian School since 2010. Oliver is passionate about developing character, sportsmanship and teaching young people the beauty of the game of soccer.
Oliver was born and raised in Montgomery and graduated from Auburn University in 2004 with a degree in Secondary Education, Social Studies. He moved to Budapest, Hungary for 5 years where he taught a variety of classes and coached Varsity soccer at the International Christian School of Budapest. He met and married his wife, Pamela, in Hungary 14 years ago and has 5 children: Thomas (13), Rebi (12), Charlie(12), Sadie (10), and Joseph(10). He started following the German National Team when Michael Ballack ruled the midfield!

Coach Santiago has been working with our FCM 2007 Boys for many years! All his three children have played for FCM.
Santiago started playing soccer at an early age and continued to play organized soccer through college. He has volunteered with various Montgomery organizations, coaching many teams from U8 to U14 age groups over the last 5 years and looks forward to continuing to help develop our local young players. Gonzales is US Soccer (ASA / USYS) certified.
Santiago has been happily married to Amy for 20 years and has three amazing children, Alexa (15), Molly (12) and Caleb (10). Family is very important but more importantly is the chance to serve with his family in their church and other outreach ministries in our community.

Coach Braelen Francis started his soccer career when he was just 4 years old! He grew a love for the beautiful sport ever since then! He’s played and represented for the Alabama State Team, made the Region III ODP Pool which is the top 60 players in the Southeastern Region of the United States, invited to a trial with Atlanta United, played MLS Next Soccer his senior year of high school, and also played college soccer at Oglethorpe University! While he lived in Atlanta he was the Technical Director of UFA Soccer Club!
